😋 Sweet, sour, bitter, or salty—which would you try first? 🍋🍯🧂

Our little taste testers put their senses to work as they explored four different tastes! From curious expressions to some very funny faces, our children had so much fun tasting, comparing, and sharing their reactions.

Sensory experiences like this encourage children to explore with curiosity, build descriptive language, and discover how our senses help us learn about the world around us. 💛

Parent Tips: Big feelings can be hard—for children AND adults. ❤️

When emotions are running high, children don't always need us to make the feeling go away. They need us to stay calm, help them feel safe, and give them the words they may not have yet.

Try:
“I’m here. You’re safe.”
“This is hard. I can help.”
“You’re really upset.”

Connection first. Then we can help children learn, problem-solve, and move forward. ✨

They rolled the dice, discovered an emotion, and then made their best face to match! 😄😢😮😡

🔤✨ Making Letters & Phonics Fun!

We love seeing our teachers find creative ways to make learning interactive, engaging, and fun! 💛

Our Pre-K teacher, Mrs. Hailey, brought letter-of-the-week phonics practice to life with an activity children can see, hear, touch, and respond to! Children press the button to hear the letter, its sound, and a word, then repeat it themselves before giving the sign a big high five! 🙌

These simple, creative touches help reinforce letter recognition, phonemic awareness, and vocabulary while keeping children excited and engaged in learning! 🌟

Our infants had so much fun discovering what happens when they pull colorful scarves through a box! 🧣📦

This simple, hands-on activity introduced cause and effect while encouraging reaching, grasping, pulling, and curiosity. Every little discovery helps build early problem-solving skills and fine motor development—all through play! 💛

Kindergarten readiness can show up in everyday moments, not just big milestones. A few signals to notice:

1. They’re building confidence to try things independently. Examples: walking into a room first, asking for help, or giving something new a try.

2. They’re starting to recognize the letters in their name, even if they’re not reading just yet.

3. They’re showing care and responsibility at home. This could include things like helping pack a bag, feeding a pet, putting away toys, or getting through part of their routine with a little more ease.

Every child grows at their own pace - and readiness looks different for every family. Their preschool teachers can be a great partner in noticing strengths, celebrating progress, and helping you think through what comes next.
