While working for gives me a ton of flexibility, it can still be stressful to balance work & family. I really felt it this summer with condensed camp hours. Add to that a child who experienced anxiety over the past 3 months about starting kindergarten... Well, let's just say I was ready for fall. ⁣
⁣
You're not a bad parent for feeling this way. Even if your kid is going to school for the first time ever, like mine. I've had caring friends ask how I'm doing, but really they don't need to worry - I know I'm a better mom as a working mother! ⁣
⁣
To all others who feel the same - pour that second (or third) cup of coffee and find that bit of peace while at work today. And tell me - how will you focus on your career now that school is back in session??⁣

It's been a full year since I posted consistently. While I've popped on here and there, I've mainly been spending my time focusing on the direction of my work. About 10 months ago, I stepped into a full-time role Monarch Consulting HR as Head of Talent Management. There's ✨so many✨ amazing things about working here, but what I love most is my ability to combine my passion for coaching with my HR expertise. ⁣

If you've spied on my profile, you'll see a few things have been changing slowly, organically. The services I offer are now centered around career coaching. What my coaching provides goes beyond your resume - it also considers what makes you feel fulfilled (I'll create a whole separate post on this!)⁣
