Happy 1️⃣1️⃣ year anniversary, abc memories! 🥳🧁🧵🪡
Here I am at my first craft fair in Allendale, NJ in 2010, where I would get my very first client within about an hour of setting up! Eileen walked past my tent & said she had a bag of her daughter’s Irish dancing t-shirts in her trunk (she owned an Irish dancing school ☘️) & that someone else was supposed to make a blanket for her but plans had changed. The rest is history! I went on to make many Irish dancing blankets from Eileen’s referral & years later even went to a feis as a vendor!
Thank you to all my clients over the years, but especially to my friends & family (looking at my parents & husband!) for all your support 💓 - I am the luckiest ☘️
‘Tis the season for thinking ahead for the holidays! 🎁 This is one of the busiest times of year for abc memories (besides graduation 🎓) & to make sure you have your blanket when you need it, I need to have all your shirts ✨no later than November 1st✨. I work on a first come, first serve basis, which means the sooner you get me your shirts, the sooner you’ll have your own one of a kind custom blanket to snuggle with! I always love seeing photos of t-shirt blankets with their owners! 😍 9 times out of 10 I’m working with a parent or spouse to create a blanket as a gift (& one that’s usually a surprise!), so I never get to interact or meet with the actual person whose shirts I’m cutting up - even though I feel like I know their life so well by the time I’m done sewing 🪡 Thank you to all my clients who have shared photos, I appreciate you! I’ve been “sew” busy with working on graduation blankets - one of my busiest times of the year! 🎓 I love that I have the opportunity to work on blankets for grads from my high school, I always get ✨extra✨ nostalgic (if that’s even possible!) thinking about the days of lockers & passing notes. Thinking of all the amazing teachers & grads to be as I’m wrapping up another graduation season!
