Giving the competition team a little cold, hard truth. 👊🌊
These kids need to understand how true this is. I’ve surfed so many events in South Florida where the waves were kneehigh and choppy. This is the reality. Be prepared.
When you show up to an event, every competitor has to surf the same conditions…Someone is going to win either way!
So that’s the mindset.
When a kid looks at the waves and says, “The waves suck,” and gets frustrated… well, you’re already losing.
Be the kid who says:
“I’m prepared.”
“I brought the right board.”
“Good thing I practiced in this stuff.”
“Good thing im a tiny grom”
“Let’s go. I got this.”
The waves aren’t in our control but our mindset is.
Mindset is everything
