Today, HSCA paused to remember the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

HSBC President Matthew Maloyed and Sheriff John Budensiek, an HSCA alumnus, both spoke to our students and led us in prayer as we remembered the lives lost, the heroes who responded, and the unity our nation experienced in the days that followed.

Although none of our current students were yet born on September 11, 2001, we want them to understand why this day matters and why we must never forget the courage, sacrifice, and loss of that day.

Thank you to Jennifer Plank for organizing this meaningful time of remembrance for our students. 🇺🇸

Hobe Sound Christian Academy has been named a FACCS Signature School of Excellence! 🎉

This designation from the Florida Association of Christian Colleges & Schools recognizes schools that demonstrate intentional progress, measurable goals, and strong systems designed for long-term effectiveness and sustainability.

We are incredibly grateful for our faculty, staff, students, and families who make HSCA what it is. This recognition reflects the dedication of so many people who believe in our mission and work each day to provide a high-quality Christian education that keeps Christ at the center.

We are thankful for what God is doing at Hobe Sound Christian Academy and excited about the future. To God be the glory! 🙏

Our hearts and prayers are with the family of Mark Budensiek as they mourn his passing. Mark was an alumnus of Hobe Sound Christian Academy, and his wife, Marissa, is a valued member of our teaching staff.

Mark's love for Christ, devotion to his family, and genuine care for others touched many lives throughout our community. We are praying especially for Marissa, Malina, and the entire Budensiek family, asking God to surround them with His comfort, strength, and peace in the days ahead.

Celebrate the life of Mark Budensiek, leave a kind word or memory and get funeral service information care of Aycock Funeral Home - Young & Prill Chapel.
