Our young leaders are off to a great start! Thank you to everyone who attended Curriculum Night this past week. We are so grateful for your partnership as we work together to help every child learn, grow, and achieve.

📚 K–2 Math PM1 Assessments are this week!
Please help your child prepare by getting a good night’s sleep, eating a healthy breakfast, and coming to school ready to do their very best. Encourage your child to believe in themselves and give it their all! 💙

What’s a Learning Target (LT)? 🎯

A well-written Learning Target clearly tells students what they are learning during the lesson and what they will be able to do or demonstrate by the end. Every LT should be aligned to a B.E.S.T. Standard.

Simply posting a Learning Target doesn’t impact student learning. The power comes from what happens next. When teachers have meaningful conversations with students about the LT—connecting it to what they already know and helping them understand what they are learning and why—it creates clarity, purpose, and ownership.

🎯 Post it. Talk about it. Make it meaningful.

🧠✨ Our 2nd grade mathematicians were showing resilience as they worked through a Building Thinking Classrooms math activity!

The rich conversations, collaboration, and perseverance happening in the room were incredible to see. Students were not afraid to make mistakes, rethink their strategies, and learn from one another. 💙🐬
