🚀 DAY ONE: SUCCESSFULLY LAUNCHED!

Thank You, CFS Families! 💙🤍

What an incredible first day of our 2026–2027 school year!

Parents and families, THANK YOU. Yesterday’s smooth and successful launch did not happen by accident. Your cooperation, patience, presence, and willingness to follow our arrival and dismissal procedures made a tremendous difference.

As we begin Day Two, I want to recognize some of the things YOU did that helped us start strong:

📲 Thank you for putting the phones away and giving your child your presence. When you walk into school together, those few minutes matter. Helping your child settle in, connect with their Teacher, and begin their morning tells them: “This is important, and I am here with you.”
🚘 Thank you for using designated parking spaces and holding your child’s hand as you walked into the building. You may not realize how much this simple action improves parking lot safety, reduces congestion and chaos, and helps protect every child and family. Please keep it up!
❤️ Thank you for taking time to help your child transition. Many of you stayed for awhile, helped your child explore the new environment and materials, assisted with handwashing and sign-in, and gave that extra reassurance needed on a first day. What a wonderful way to begin!
⏰ Thank you for arriving on time! The overwhelming majority of our families arrived by our 8:00 a.m. arrival time, and it made a tremendous difference in helping classrooms begin their day smoothly. Remember, doors open for Head Start @ 7:45 am with all students expected to arrive by 8:00 am.
We understand that everyone is adjusting to a new school-year routine, so we are extending a little grace during these first few days. Beginning Thursday, August 13, our 8:00 a.m. arrival procedure will be strictly followed. Doors will be locked at 8:00 a.m. Children arriving after 8:00 will be marked tardy, and the next opportunity for entry will be 8:30 a.m. Please plan accordingly so your child can begin the day with their classmates.
🏫 Thank you to our parents who must pick up children from elementary schools. We appreciate your patience while communicating your early-pickup needs to our staff. Now that those families have been identified and teachers are aware, you will not need to repeat that process each day.
🕝 Thank you for honoring our 2:45 p.m. dismissal time. We know some families arrived earlier yesterday, and we greatly appreciate how graciously everyone responded when staff reminded you of our designated pickup time.
Here is something important to consider: 15 minutes of early pickup every day equals more than an hour of missed learning each week and approximately seven school days over the course of a school year. Those final minutes include important classroom closure, plan, do & review, and preparation for the next day. We absolutely understand that early pickups are sometimes necessary, but whenever possible, please allow your child to complete the entire school day.

📅 REMEMBER OUR NEW SCHOOL WEEK

Head Start Preschool: Monday–Thursday
No Head Start Preschool on Fridays

Child Care: Monday–Friday
7:30 a.m.–5:45 p.m.

Families, YOU helped make our first-day launch a success! Now we build on it, one day, one routine, one relationship and one child at a time.

Our children are watching all of us work together. When families and educators are consistent, connected and committed, children feel safe, confident and ready to learn.

🚀 We have officially launched and Mission 2026–2027 is IN FLIGHT!

One Team. One Vision. Every Child. Every Family. Every Day. 💙💛
