Meet Cuke & Umber! Our very own seedlings that will be accompanying our mobile summer feeding routes!
Right now, they are in their sprouting stage!

They will visit the routes every Monday and Thursday so everyone can see them grow! We will have stickers for all 18 and under kids who can vote on which elementary school they are in, will go to, or went to. There will be a fun surprise for the school with the most visitors during summer feeding!

Today is their debut! So come on down to one of our sites where those 18 years and younger can enjoy a free lunch!

We will only be at the 1st two stops: Liberty - Arbor Lane; and City Ball Park - Festival Park.

This summer, School City of Hobart, will be participating in the Cucumber Craze Initiative with the Indiana Grown for Schools Network and the Indiana Department of Education. Through this initiative, we will be growing cucumbers at our meal site and sending cucumber activity sheets home. Cucumber Carl is the mascot so be on the lookout for cucumber facts with Carl, this summer!

We will bring out our cucumber beds, Cuke & Umber every Monday and Thursday, starting this Thursday the 18th!

We'll have an attendance competition and so much more! So stay tuned!

We know it may be a wet and busy day, but still bring your 18 and unders to enjoy a free meal. It'll be one less thing off your "plate" today.

We're receiving questions about Free and Reduced meal applications and wanted to make a quick statement.

We cannot accept any applications for next school year until July. We will reach back out once applications are ready to be accepted with all the information you need.

Due to some regularly scheduled maintenance, we will be swapping Thursday and Friday's menu this week. This Thursday will be Bosco Sticks and Friday will be Yogurt Lunchables.

To us, feeding kids isn't just a job—it's our passion.

Today marked the first day of our Summer Feeding Program, and we couldn't have been more excited to see so many children waiting to enjoy a nutritious meal and so many parents happy to see us back in the parks!

This program is about more than just food. It's about supporting families, helping ease the burden of grocery costs, and making sure every child has access to healthy meals throughout the summer months.

We invite families to visit one of our meal sites, enjoy the sunshine, spend time outdoors, and let us take care of lunch. There's nothing better than seeing kids laughing, playing, and enjoying a great meal with friends.

We can't wait to serve our community all summer long!
