Bright Start Preschool

Bright Start Preschool We offer morning and afternoon sessions for children age 3-5. I have taught and co-owned at Bright Minds Preschool for the past nine years.

Hello, my name is Shannon Burney and I'm the proud new owner of Bright Start Preschool that will open in the fall of 2017 at 97 Bracken Parkway (inside Barrington Ridge Baptist church), across from St Mary Hospital. Due to the growth and expansion of the church the preschool will no longer be able to reside at this location. So I, Miss Shannon, decided to go out on my own and find a location to open called "Bright Start Preschool". This location will be separate from Bright Minds Preschool and is not affiliated in any way. Joining Miss Shannon at Bright Start Preschool will be Miss Beth and Miss Megan. Miss Beth is a graduate of Purdue University with a Bachelors Degree in Education with Kindergarten endorsement. She worked as a Title One Tutor for both Griffith and Crown Point school systems for one year and went on to teach kindergarten for nine years in the Crown Point school corporation. She has three young children of her own and She has the passion, drive and educational background to help mold young minds. Miss Megan is a mother of one. She is extremely outgoing and encouraging. She is certified in Northwest Indiana Special Education and has worked as a Para professional at Joan Martin elementary school in Hobart. She was also a former Bright Minds Preschool teacher. If you would like a tour please call or text Miss Shannon @ 219-316-2257 to set up a tour time that best suits you.
