School City of Hobart

Need Diapers and a free meal? Come out to the City of Hobart's food give away. Brickies from the Start will be there with an emergency pack of diapers and parenting support.

We are hopeful and praying everyone is safe from the storm. Due to the severity of this storm and in partnership with the HPD and the city, we will be canceling the first day of school on Wednesday. This will allow us to safely assess and secure our school buildings for safe return. Be safe Brickies!

Thanks to a generous donation from the nursing leadership team of St. Mary's Medical Center, we will have free school supplies available tomorrow evening while supplies last! Stop by Veterans Elementary School at Mundell gym between 5pm and 6pm! 💜💛

A big Brickie thank you to the Valparaiso Home Depot for their generous donation of approximately 300 tools, including hammers, wrenches, and other essential equipment, to support our Construction Club and Vocational Classes at Hobart Middle School!

Donations like this give our students the opportunity to learn by doing, develop practical skills, and gain valuable experience that can help prepare them for future careers.

Mrs. Ayres-Cook won the “Colorful Chords” sweepstakes from Crayola Creativity Week. Along with receiving $1000 of specialty supplies, she was able to submit custom artwork to be printed on a Martin & Co. Guitar. The artwork represents many of the projects students see through their years at Veterans. She is super excited to use these supplies during our bonus art Fridays!
