Due to the low spread of COVID in the SCOH, we will move to MASKS ARE OPTIONAL on Monday, February 14, 2022.
Dear Brickie Families,
Due to the low spread of COVID in the SCOH, we will move to MASKS ARE OPTIONAL on Monday, February 14, 2022.
Please note that MASKS ARE REQUIRED ON BUSES BY FEDERAL LAW!
Please read the following document from the Indiana Department of Health (IDH) on Isolation and Quarantine that the SCOH must follow.
https://www.hobart.k12.in.us/cms/lib/IN02000377/Centricity/Domain/4216/Guidance%20Masks%20Optional%201.28.22.pdf
Isolation and Quarantine protocols are dictated by the Governor's Executive Order and Indiana Department of Health (IDH) guidance whether masked or not masked. SCOH will always follow protocol. The goal remains to be in school. High quarantine numbers are what forced a change when masks were optional at the beginning of this school year.
Be well Brickies! Let's hope that the positivity and quarantine rates stay low enough to keep masks optional and be present in school!

FYI..
In cooperation with the Mayor and the wonderful work of the city, additional time is needed to move snow. Parked cars are problematic on secondary road ways which prevent snow removal and make it difficult for buses to navigate down these streets. In addition, sidewalks are issues for walkers. The school lots are cleared thanks to our maintenance department. In the interest of public safety, we will do ELearning on Wednesday so the city can go after these more challenging areas from the storm. Be safe! Thank you!
