Kendall McCardell – Miss Good Ole Days

I’m a proud 2024 graduate of Hitchcock High School and currently attending Lamar University, where I’m majoring in Communications and expected to graduate in 2027. This summer, I’m honored to be interning with General Motors in Detroit, Michigan as an AI Engagement Intern with their Global Communications team.

I hope my journey reminds young girls that no dream is too big and no town is too small to begin building the life you want for yourself. You do not have to have everything figured out — you simply have to believe in yourself, work hard, and be willing to take chances on opportunities that come your way.

At the end of the day, I’m still just a girl from Hitchcock, Texas, proving that big dreams can come from small towns too.

Thank you to the Galveston County Commissioners Court for recognizing our Hitchcock High School Lady Bulldogs basketball team this morning and honoring them with a proclamation celebrating their historic state championship win! ❤️🖤🤍

We are grateful for the continued support shown to our students, coaches, and district. This recognition means so much to our team and to all of Bulldog Nation.
