Throw Kia a 👋!
Meet Kia Nelson! She is originally from Le Mars, Iowa, and has always had a passion for all things hair. She graduated from the Iowa School of Beauty in October 2024 and jumped straight into her dream career as a stylist at The Hair Shoppe—a place that already felt like home after spending a year working as the receptionist.

Blonding services are definitely her favorite, but she truly enjoys every opportunity to help people feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. She loves working in Hinton and getting to meet so many amazing new faces—this community has been so welcoming and fun to be a part of!

When Kia is not behind the chair, you can also find her working at Bob’s Drive Inn in Le Mars. Outside of work, She loves spending time with her friends and family, going shopping, going to concerts, reading, and learning about anything and everything that sparks her curiosity.

She can’t wait to meet you and help bring your hair goals to life!
