**SUBSTITUTE EMPLOYEES ONLY**

Frontline Training will be held at the central office now located at 116 Main Street on September 3, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM. If you cannot attend the first training, a makeup day on September 10, 2026, and will also begin at 9:00 AM.

This training is required if you did not attend the first meeting before school started. If you have questions, please reach out to Dr. Kevin Green ([email protected] or 304-366-6000, ext. 1114).

At tonight’s BOE meeting, the SCS BOE had the pleasure of recognizing the dedication of our community members in supporting our school system. First, the board recognized state Senators Deeds and Woodrum for their help in securing funding for the JBE playground. They also acknowledged Ms. Bowling for her advocacy in getting this funding. Second, the board recognized the City of Hinton, represented by City Manager Megan Turner, for their $10,000 donation to support the needs of the school system. SCS is ever grateful for the support of its community!

It is officially a school night, the first school night of the 2026-27 school year! We hope that our students and staff have a great first day back. Just a reminder: All students entering Pre-K, kindergarten, 7th grade, or 12th grade must have received all required immunizations prior to attending school. If you are unsure whether your child has met these requirements, please contact the school your child attends.
