Middle School Conquers the Treetops!

What an incredible day for our HAA middle schoolers at Go Ape Treetop Adventure in Western Springs!

High above the ground, our students faced zip lines, swinging bridges, and tricky obstacles, and more than a few butterflies! But one by one, they pushed past their fears and made it across the high ropes course.

What made us proudest wasn't just watching them conquer the course, it was watching them conquer it together. Students cheered each other on, offered a steady hand when someone felt shaky, and waited patiently as classmates worked up the courage to take the next step.

🎉📚 A New School Year Begins at Hinsdale Adventist Academy! 📚🎉

There's something special about the first day of school, the smell of fresh notebooks, the buzz of excitement in the hallways, and the promise of a brand new year full of growth, discovery, and possibility!

We kicked off the year the best way we know how, gathered together at the flagpole with our parents, hand in hand, lifting this school year up in prayer. 🙏 What a powerful way to begin, asking God's blessing over our students, our staff, and our HAA family as we step into all He has planned for us this year.

We are also thrilled to welcome Janette Rodriguez as our new principal! We are so excited for her leadership and can't wait to see all that God has in store for HAA this year. 🌟

At HAA, we believe every student is created with a unique purpose and gifted with talents meant to bless the world. This year, we're excited to walk alongside our students as they grow not just in knowledge, but in character, faith, and confidence.

It began with a prayer. It ended with open doors.
We are grateful to share two articles recently published by the Lake Union Herald and the Illinois Conference, where the full testimony of how God has been opening doors for ministry, service, and community engagement is beautifully reflected.https://www.lakeunionherald.org/archive/articles/it-began-with-a-prayer-it-ended-with-open-doors/
This year has been a powerful reminder that our mission extends far beyond the classroom. Through cultural events and meaningful opportunities to connect with the Village of Hinsdale and our surrounding community, our students have been able to shine for God, build relationships, and live out a calling of service and purpose.
At our school, students are not only learning academic content, but are being equipped for life. They are being prepared to serve, to lead, and to be a light wherever God places them—using their talents to impact others and reflect Christ in everything they do.
We give all glory to God for the doors He opened during the 2025–2026 school year. May our continued prayer be to remain faithful, to keep serving, and to be a light in our community.
Thank you to Mrs. Carolina Rivera for being our leader alongside students, families, teachers, and volunteers in this work with the community. We also extend our gratitude to Dr. Lucy Zhu, for her dedication as President of the Hinsdale Multicultural Arts & Education Association in the Village of Hinsdale.

From Friday night to Sunday's send-off, the Senior graduation weekend was a beautiful reflection of everything our seniors have poured into their years here at HAA, their laughter, their faith, their hustle, and their heart. Every moment felt sacred. Every moment felt earned.

To the families, friends, faculty, and everyone who gathered to honor this class, thank you. You surrounded our seniors with the kind of love that sends people forward with confidence. 🙏

Coach Cruz, you closed the weekend with a charge that cut straight to the heart, to know God, and let Him lead you wherever you go. What better compass for the road ahead? Last week, we had the privilege of celebrating one of the most meaningful milestones in a young person's life, and it was beautiful. 💜

To our 8th grade graduates: you have grown in ways that have moved us, surprised us, and filled us with incredible pride. Watching you walk across that stage was a moment none of us will forget. The journey ahead of you is bright, and you are more than ready for it. 🌟

A heartfelt thank you to every family member, friend, and supporter who came out to cheer these graduates on. Your presence made the room feel full in every sense of the word, full of love, full of pride, full of joy. We are so grateful you shared this moment with us. 🙏

A special thank you to our guest speaker, Coach Abe Husmillo, your words carried weight, warmth, and wisdom that landed right where it needed to. You inspired not just the graduates, but every person in that room. We are so honored you were part of this day.

We are also deeply grateful for Glenn Aguirre, who traveled all the way from Georgia to be with us. His presence was a gift, and we were incredibly blessed to witness him baptize Gianni. What a sacred and joyful moment woven right into the heart of this celebration. Thank you, Glenn. 🙏🕊️

Our Little Lambs did it! 🐑✨ Last week we celebrated the graduation of the most adorable, brave, curious, and joyful little ones, and our hearts are absolutely full.

From their very first day, tiny backpacks, wide eyes, and the biggest personalities, to this moment: tassels turned, smiles beaming, and hearts ready for what's next. Watching them cross that stage was a reminder of just how far these little ones have come. 💛

To our graduates, you have made us so proud. Keep that curiosity alive, keep asking "why," keep being exactly who you are. The world needs your light. 🌟

And to our incredible families, thank you for trusting us with the greatest treasure in your life. It has been our absolute honor. 🙏

From leadership and music to athletics and creativity, Giselle has made her mark at HAA in so many beautiful ways. 💙 After 7 years of memories, friendships, performances, and unforgettable experiences, she is preparing for her next chapter at Andrews University studying Business Health Management.
