More information on Lauren Previte:

Originally from Braintree, Lauren began her dance training at a young age with Melissa Kelley-Clark. Here she performed many classical ballet variations and Graham repertory, including Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker,

Giselle, and Martha Graham's "Acts of Light". After a year at Nutmeg she was thrilled to be accepted into the Boston Conservatory, where she earned her BFA in contemporary dance performance. During her time at the Conservatory, she performed works by Jose Limon, Daniel McCusker, Gianni DiMarco, and Alwin Nikolais. Lauren was also a pioneer in establishing the first dance outreach program at the conservatory with teacher Denise Pons and fellow classmate Emily Singleton. Her work with the outreach group brought dance education and performance to the boys and girls club of Boston, among other places. After graduating, Lauren continued to train, perform, and teach in the Boston area. She has recently completed her fourth season performing with Dance Currents Inc, where she was promoted to rehearsal director and soloist. Lauren has been teaching children of all ages for five years and believes that ballet should be approachable, safe, and enjoyable for everyone. She is also a certified Pure Barre instructor in Hingham, Ma.

Hi everyone! I can't believe recital is this weekend! It has been an amazing first year for me at the community center and I have enjoyed teaching your children so much. Friday I will be handing out a sheet of instructions for dress rehearsal and recital so please make sure you get one. Miss Amy has kindly invited us to go ride the carousel and have ice cream with them after recital so please let me know if you are interested. There are discounted tickets and those will be available Friday and Saturday as well. A special thank you to Rosemary, Miss Amy, Katie Daly, and my special helper Brooke Who have worked so hard this year. Can't wait to see your ballerinas up on the stage!

Hello everyone, hope you are enjoying your summer! Many of you have asked about classes in the fall and I'm happy to tell you that I will be offering two classes at the community center on Fridays. 3-345 will be a preschool combo tap and ballet class and 345-430 will be kindergarten ballet. Both classes will participate in the recital in the middle of May. Please keep an eye out on the community centers website for registration and spread the word! Thank you 😃
