A new school year is here, and so is a new round of small-group learning at Clayton Learning Lab!

Our 𝟲-𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗳𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 begin the week of September 14th and are designed to give students targeted support, lots of practice, and the confidence to start the year strong. 🤎

This fall at the Lab:

🌟 Introducing Little Learners Lab at Clayton Learning Lab! 🌟

We’re so excited to launch a brand-new program for our youngest learners, ages 3–6! Starting Monday, September 15th, Little Learners Lab will meet Mondays and Wednesdays from 1–3 PM, year-round.

Every lesson is built on a structured, evidence-based approach, the same one behind everything we do at Clayton Learning Lab. Kids will build early reading and math skills alongside phonological and phonemic awareness, number sense, colors and shapes, turn-taking, and listening.

With two teachers and skill-leveled groups, every child learns alongside peers at a similar level, with instruction designed for their group.

📅 Classes run in six-week billing cycles. Join both days for $960/cycle (or split into two payments of $480), or choose one day a week for $540/cycle.

When I started Clayton Learning Lab five years ago, winning an award was truly the last thing on my mind.

I just wanted to help kids learn to read. I wanted families to finally feel heard and supported. I wanted to build something grounded in the belief that every child can get there with the right teaching.
And somehow, here we are. Voted Best Tutoring Service on the South Shore for the second year in a row. 🏆

I am so emotional about this one. Watching kids discover what they are capable of. Building a community of families who show up, trust the process, and cheer each other on. Surrounding myself with a team that brings their whole heart to this work every single day. Five years in and I still cannot believe I get to do this.

None of this was on my vision board. All of it has exceeded every hope I had.

To every family who has walked through our doors, who has cheered us on, who took the time to vote: you are the reason this place is what it is. Thank you will never feel like enough.

We just added something new to our summer lineup! 📚

If you have a Hingham middle schooler, you already know Rebellion 1776 is on the required reading list this summer.

Summer is wonderful, and it’s also full. Between travel, camps, and just enjoying the break, carving out focused time for a book and a worksheet can be a tough ask for any kid.

Starting Tuesday July 8th, we’re running a 7 week book club on Tuesdays from 4:30-6pm at the lab, built around Rebellion 1776 for grades 6-8. Students will work through the book together, tackle the HMS summer reading worksheet, build comprehension and discussion skills, and connect the history to the bigger world.

It’s a great way to get it done, and actually enjoy it.

Kindergarten is closer than you think, and a little preparation goes a long way.

Kick to K is a small group summer class at Clayton Learning Lab designed to give rising kindergarteners a strong literacy foundation before the first day of school. We use an Orton-Gillingham approach to build the skills that research shows matter most: phonological awareness, letter-sound knowledge, and early print concepts.

This is not a generic school readiness class. It is structured, evidence-based, and taught in a small group so every child gets the attention they need.

A few spots are still available for our Tuesday session starting July 7th!

Early Literacy Group Class | Ages 4 to 6

Six Saturdays of small-group, Orton-Gillingham based instruction designed for children entering or currently in kindergarten.

This class blends phonological awareness and early decoding, the two foundational pillars of skilled reading. Children build the sound-level skills that research consistently identifies as the strongest predictors of later reading success, then apply them to letters and words through explicit, multisensory instruction.

What’s included:
• 6 Saturday sessions, 9:30 to 10:45 AM
• Small group of 4 to 5 students
• Orton-Gillingham based, structured literacy methodology
• Phonological awareness and early decoding focus

Dates: May 9 through June 20 (no class Memorial Day weekend, May 23)
Location: Clayton Learning Lab, Hingham
Investment: $320 for the 6-week session
