Something you may not be including in your postpartum workouts, but should be:
rotation.
Pregnancy changes how your core manages pressure, stability, and movement.
And postpartum, rebuilding your core shouldn’t only happen through straight-forward exercises like planks, crunches, or dead bugs.
Your body rotates all day long.
Picking your baby up from the floor. Reaching into the backseat. Carrying a car seat on one side. Getting up while holding your baby. Turning, reaching, lifting, carrying.
Training controlled rotation helps your core learn how to manage those real-life demands again while rebuilding strength and coordination through your trunk.
Start with controlled, intentional movements and progress from there.
Because postpartum strength should prepare you for the way you actually move in motherhood. 💪
