Joseph Martin Elementary

We expected last week's attendance percentages to drop with the half day and extended weekend. Shout out to our 3rd graders who still had over a 95% attendance rate, though!

Let's get our numbers back up this week to around the 95% we usually see.

🍎🥪 Celebrating National School Lunch Week, October 12-16, 2026! 🥪🍎
Liberty County School System is proud to celebrate National School Lunch Week (NSLW)! Since 1962, National School Lunch Week has highlighted the important role healthy school meals play in helping students learn, grow, and succeed. A nutritious lunch gives students the energy and focus they need to make the most of every school day. Through the National School Lunch Program, schools across the country provide millions of nutritious meals each day while helping reduce childhood hunger and support student achievement.

Our school nutrition professionals and students will celebrate with special menus, events, activities, and much more—all with the goal of increasing student participation in the school lunch program and spreading the message to parents that a healthy, delicious lunch is available at school. This week, we especially recognize our LCSS School Nutrition professionals who work hard each day to prepare and serve healthy, delicious meals to our students. Thank you for keeping our students fueled and ready to learn! 💚🍎 Healthy meals. Strong minds. Successful students.
