The beginning of the year is always very busy in the media center, as we must issue student iPads and complete library orientations with each homeroom in the first few weeks of school. With those big tasks complete, we finally got to reward our summer readers! These Superstars took our summer reading challenge and logged over 500 minutes of reading in Beanstack during June and July. 📚😎🌟

We are so proud of their commitment to continued growth in reading. Can we achieve our school-wide reading goal this year?

We are SO proud of our Superstar attendance rates last week! Our goal is 95% or higher in each grade level and everyone exceeded those expectations. 👏🏽

We look forward to tracking and recognizing good attendance all year long. Thank you for helping us emphasize the importance of being at school each and every day possible. 💫

Who is ready for Day 2? Our first day of school is always an exciting time for our students, staff, and families. It seems like everyone had a great day, and our new Superstars are learning how to shine bright at JME.

We want to give a special shoutout to our community supporters who came out to welcome our Superstars back and give them a pencil to start the day!

It won't take us long to settle back in to our routines. We hope everyone has an even better second day of school today.
