In a time when many small businesses in Hawaiʻi face closure or the need to downsize because the lack of economic stability brought through tourism, we force ourselves to look at other options that might be sustainably better.
Andrew Hara-a phenomenal, yet humble, photographer and local boy who has resilience built into his DNA, gives us a fresh perspective on what that might look like through his own experiences and revelations.
What once was a career that brought him great joy and stability, has now been destabilized, allowing him time to reflect on his work as a photographer, and create new goals in helping to bring more balance into his life.
If you’ve read his most recent post he talks about how he’s rewritten his career path and shifted his mindset to be of service to others in hopes to restore our local community.
“Can we change with the tides and determine our success as a culture, CONSCIOUSLY?”
