Art belongs to everyone.
Discover the creativity, talent, and diverse perspectives of Deaf, hard of hearing, and disabled artists at the AHA! Art Immersive at the Wailoa Art Center in Hilo. This interactive exhibition celebrates accessibility, inclusion, and the many ways art can be experienced.
The Art Immersive is open to the public daily from July 3 through August 5, 2026, with certified ASL interpreters available during Saturday interactive sessions to help make the experience welcoming and accessible for everyone.
One featured presentation is an American Sign Language interpretation of a segment from Disney's Fantasia ("The Soundtrack"), demonstrating how ASL can artistically express sound, music, rhythm, and conversation through visual language.
This ASL interpretation is presented for educational and informational purposes as part of the Abled Hawai'i Artists - AHA AHA! Art Immersive exhibition. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by The Walt Disney Company.
