As we close out the year and I reflect on all the opportunities that opened up I can’t help but feel deep gratitude for the ways that life’s adventure carried my family. We traveled, ministered, worked and most importantly deepened relationships across the ocean, in various countries with family, friends, strangers who became friends, CEOs, leaders at every level, and even a President. We could not have imagined this for ourselves. Something miraculous happens when courage rises to the challenge and we say yes to the unknown. As we move forward with hope and faith into 2026 my desire for us all is to live bravely, excitingly and imaginatively. May we reimagine, reinvent and re-invite as we are invited back to the things that matter most.

From where I live, I have a small corner of paradise where the stars shine without obstruction. No neon glow or city haze hides their brilliance. In those moments—especially just before dawn—the stillness is profound. The sky becomes a reminder that even in the midst of life’s constant noise, there are places of clarity if we’re willing to look for them.

Five years ago, I wrote: “The world is our classroom.” Back then, I was navigating distance learning with my kids in the middle of a pandemic: mom, teacher, counselor, nurse, janitor… you name it. Every day was messy, exhausting, and full of tears, but also full of grace.

Now, my daughters are growing into young women, and my son is stepping into a new season in a new country. The ache and the joy are still there, mingling together, reminding me that every season is a letting go and a leaning in.

The world is still our classroom. God is still the teacher. And we are still learning to walk forward with courage, grit, and grace.

As August winds down, I can’t help but pause and give thanks for the moments that will stay with me:
✨ Invited Back turning 4. Still celebrating that mix of cozy + professional.
✨ The start of a new school year (new experiences, fresh grace).
✨ Playing outside, reminding them they are worth it.
✨ Settling into new rhythms. Between what’s been and what’s ahead.
✨ Life requires maintenance, and I’m learning to show up for it.
✨ Planning for the rest of 2025 (big things coming).
✨ Conversations that remind me why I love this work—both with new friends and old.
✨ And always, the journey of reimagining, reinventing, and reinviting.

Grateful. Expectant. Rooted.
