The point is that neither of these is a wrong answer. It is only wrong if you don’t understand what your financial choices get you and what they cost you.

Changing your mindset can change your life. That which sets us apart from the wealthy is not super complicated. It’s simply a mindset where we need to understand that a) we have options and b) the costs/benefits of exercising those options. Wealth does not equal wisdom. Poor does not equal unintelligent. You can educate yourself for ZERO dollars!!

This is why everyone has the ability to reach financial freedom. There are always two sides to the equation. Yes you can earn more, but you can also spend less. Either one will afford you the ability to invest in your future. Just remember that both will do it faster😉

Spend your money on things that bring you joy. Do not spend you money trying to keep up with Jonses. Stop buying fancy cars and jewelry to look cool. Your $1K chain is costing you $80,000 towards your retirement.

I am NOT a professional investor. Truth be told even professional investors rarely, if ever, beat the S&P 500 over the long term. I understand that my weakness in investment strategy should be supplemented by someone who knows what they are talking about. If you have to follow someone else’s advise, why not Warren Buffet? Don’t over complicate your retirement and investing strategies by attempting to do something that has proven to be near impossible. Stick with something easy, consistent and proven to work.

If you want change you need to put in work. Placing blame on others gives away the control over your life. Take back the control and start taking accountability for your situation. We don’t deal in the short term. Steady and consistent investing has led to financial freedom for 100 years. Don’t look at a market downturn as losing money, look at it as an opportunity to purchase at a discounted price. Warren Buffet says, “Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful.” Use the markets uncertainty to increase your investments at “sell-off” prices.

You only have control over you. Only you can change your situation. If you are great, and everything is rainbows and butterflies, then just keep doing what you are doing. If you want more financial security, to stop working the 9-5 or to be able to retire in comfort, you are in charge of making those changes. There is a way for everyone to have all those things and I can help.

Liabilities are necessary costs (food, shelter, etc.) and unnecessary ones (jewelry, fancy cars, etc.) that don’t make/save money. Assets are anything that can make money (rental properties, tools use to create products for sale, vehicles for delivery or transport for income). When you can convert a liability into an asset, you are changing a cost into income/saving. That is HUGE for the path to financial freedom.
