THANK YOU!!!
There are moments in life when your “someday” becomes your “first day,” and this summer was one of those moments for me. What began as a dream in my heart became a reality because God worked through the generosity, encouragement, and faithfulness of so many people.
Thank you to every person who prayed, encouraged, shared a post, volunteered, donated, believed in this vision, or simply reminded me to keep going when I questioned whether I was capable. There were many times when others believed in me more than I believed in myself, and I will always be grateful for that.
When I first dreamed about Honey Rock Hollow, my prayer was simple: that every child would know they are loved, that the light of Jesus would be evident in everything we did, and that every child would feel they belonged. By God’s grace, He did immeasurably more than I could have asked or imagined.
A very special and heartfelt thank you goes to Jan and Jordan. It is impossible to express how grateful I am for the way you live out the love of Christ. You are selfless, faithful, and godly friends who give generously without expecting anything in return. Your lives reflect the heart of Jesus through your kindness, your hospitality, and your unconditional love for others.
Thank you for opening Still Waters Retreat & Venue and welcoming Honey Rock Hollow with open arms. Because of your willingness to say “yes,” children were able to experience a summer filled with adventure, joy, belonging, and the love of Christ in a place that truly became home. Your friendship, encouragement, and servant hearts have been one of God’s greatest gifts throughout this journey, and I will always be thankful.
Together, Jan, Jordan, and I want to sincerely thank every family for sharing your children with us this summer. It was an honor we never took for granted, and we are grateful for every smile, every hug, every muddy shoe, every laugh, and every memory we were blessed to be a part of.
As I look ahead, I’m prayerfully asking God what obedience looks like next. I never knew exactly what this dream would become. I didn’t have all the answers, the perfect plan, or every detail figured out.
But God did.
This has never been about me. It has always been about Him.
Thank you for allowing God to use each of you as part of this story. Thank you for believing in a dream that only He could bring to life. If this summer taught me anything, it is that when God calls us to take one faithful step of obedience, He faithfully provides everything needed for the journey.
To God alone be all the glory. ❤️
