Congratulations to the Cedar Ridge High School Band Program for their accomplishment on receiving the designation of Program of Distinction for this past school year! So proud of these kids...go Red Wolves!!

"On behalf of the North Carolina Bandmasters Association, I would like to congratulate you and your program on receiving the designation of Program of Distinction for the 2025–2026 school year. This prestigious honor is a testament to the exceptional standards of musical excellence, artistry, and community leadership demonstrated by your program throughout the past year.

An achievement of this caliber does not happen by chance. It is the direct result of the immense time dedication, unwavering passion, and tireless hard work invested by you. Leading a comprehensive band program requires countless hours outside the standard school day—from early morning rehearsals and late-night performances to meticulous behind-the-scenes planning. Your steadfast commitment to your students has not only guided them to a high level of technical and artistic accomplishment but has also fostered an environment where discipline, teamwork, and creativity thrive.

To the students of your band program: your dedication to your craft and your collective resilience have truly set you apart. The synergy between a director’s vision and a student body's commitment is what builds a legendary program. You have represented your school and community with immense pride and distinction.

We are incredibly proud to honor your accomplishments and celebrate the standard of excellence you continue to set for music education across North Carolina. Congratulations again on a phenomenal year!"

Let's have another great year!

That's a wrap on MPA...

Congratulations to the Cedar Ridge Wind Ensemble for earning the highest possible rating of superior from every judge this year in Grade V!

While the Symphonic Band went for comments only this year, they performed wonderfully last week and their progress this year has been immense - with multiple students starting a new instrument just a few months ago and now reading high-school level repertoire along with their peers!

A huge thank you to all CR students and families who volunteered to make hosting possible... now let's get ready for the Spring Concert 😎

We are incredibly thankful for everyone who has shared our fundraiser, or made a contribution to our efforts. See you tonight at the OCS Pre MPA concert!

Congratulations to senior saxophonist Terra for an amazing weekend and concert with the 2026 Central Region Jazz Clinic!

Terra got to work with the wonderful Dr. Wes Parker from NCSU in the B Band and learned a variety of challenging charts followed by an impressive concert in just 2 days with her peers.

Let's wish her luck as she prepares for All-State jazz auditions! 🎷
