Our Paramedic students completed their didactic portion yesterday and enter their Field Internship today. We could not be more proud of them and cannot wait to hear the awesome reviews from their preceptors! Good luck yall!

Kudos to the Spring 2026 EMT cohort. The three groups demonstrated exceptional camaraderie, created lasting memories, and exhibited strong teamwork. Notably, five students received conditional job offers prior to completing their coursework. This cohort has set a high standard for future students.

Congratulations to David Silfen! It seems as though every EMT, Advanced EMT and Paramedic in the state has been impacted by you. We are so glad to have you as an instructor, tutor, mentor and so much more here at Durham Tech!

EMS Spotlight is a continuing education class where we focus on hands on application and expert guest lecturers. On Tuesday, we were honored to host UNC Cardiology for our EMS Spotlight. A team of 5 UNC physicians came and spoke about cardiac care in the prehospital setting.

Spotlight is not something you want to miss!

Durham Technical Community College is now one of only 32 training centers in the United States offering the Difficult Airway Course. This is a significant achievement as the course is delivered universally world-wide and our program achievements & quality outcomes have set the stage for our approval as a designated training center. We look forward to hosting our first class. Stay tuned!

Today, our students participated in two valuable training exercise with the medic class at Northern Durham Center and Chapel Hill Fire Department at the training grounds, serving as simulated patients and gaining practical experience.
