Dear Mire Vie of Warren Team,

Please accept this email as formal notice that I am ending my relationship with Mire Vie of Warren and will no longer attend or participate in the Lifelong Learning program, effective immediately.

This decision is final. Please remove my name and contact information from all program rosters, mailing lists, and future communications. Working with Mire Vie has been a nightmare. Your activity directors are constantly leaving and your organization is completely erratic. It is a real shame that your residents who I have been teaching too for the last three years will no longer get my programs which they enjoy. Getting paid from Mire Vie has also been dreadful.
Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter.

Lifelong learning remains an important part of quality care in independent and assisted living communities, even when only a small number of residents participate.

Research shows that intellectual engagement can support cognitive function, improve well-being, reduce isolation, and provide a sense of purpose. These programs foster curiosity, social connection, and personal growth.

Although attendance may be modest, the experience can be meaningful for participants. Success should be measured not only by attendance, but also by the value provided to residents.

Person-centered care includes offering opportunities that reflect residents’ diverse interests. Educational programming deserves support alongside other activities that serve smaller groups. I offer many different learning opportunities such as lectures, armchair travel, virtual reality, and AI entertainment. I encourage you to choose and alternate these programs in order to keep your residents interested.

By maintaining lifelong learning opportunities, communities demonstrate their commitment to resident engagement and well-being. I encourage you to continue supporting these programs.
