What a wonderful organization and excellent resource for caregivers! Thank you, Stephanie Howland, for inviting me to speak.
Theresa D’Auria, owner of Organized to a T, spoke at our recent Coalition meeting about “Re-sizing vs Downsizing”. She discussed the psychology behind organization, stating that the main reason people struggle to reduce unnecessary clutter is their attachment to the past and a fear of the future. She encourages caregivers to declutter their minds by decluttering their homes, encouraging everyone to start early, pace yourself and allow time to reminisce, and use the process as a time to bond with loved ones. One can anticipate some sadness and grief, but the benefit of a destressed and energized mind will lead to a healthier mind and future!
Thank you for the wonderful presentation, Organized to a T!
