The Expedition School

The Expedition School TES (www.theexpeditionschool.com) is a free, public charter school located in Hillsborough (Orange County) NC.

It is a project-based learning school implementing Responsive Classrooms, with a focus on integrated STEM instruction.

Happening on Thursday, July 30, 2026
“Meet the Teacher”

All students and families in grades 1-8 are invited to return to school in the evening to meet their assigned teachers. Families can also get connected to our Community Association! This event is not required. This is not open house, but just a time to drop in briefly and meet your teachers. (Open House is Thursday, August 13th). No formal presentations will be made except for 7th grade as listed below.

Thursday July 30, 2026:
1️⃣ 5:15-6:00 :Grades 1-4

2️⃣ 6:00-6:45 :Grades 5-8 with
(6:00-6:20, 7th grade parent orientation for 7th grade families, in first two 7-8 rooms- if you have a student entering grade 7, please plan to attend this presentation.)

👉The playground will be open for informal, parent supervised play and parent/guardian socialization! Pop over to the playground if you want after meeting the teacher!

Kindergarten
7:00-7:45
All Kindergarten parents participate in a teacher meeting via google meet. K students and parents do not come to “meet the teacher.” Google meet link will be sent out at a later date.
