Thank you RISE puppeteers for talking to West wildcats today about autism with our brand new puppets, and a newly updated script! Characters Ashley, Bethenny and Billy talk about how Bethenny‘s brain works differently, she may get overwhelmed by loud noises and big emotions, and may not respond the way Billy expects—but she still enjoys making friends and playing together.

Thanks to all who joined us to learn about Fostering Self Advocacy skills in our students from Sam Drazin, founder and CEO of Changing Perspectives! Slides are posted on our RISE website at https://sites.google.com/view/riseparentgroup —> Events —> Past events Archive. Self Awareness builds Self Confidence which builds Self Advocacy — and Sam gave us practical tips to coach our kids to grow in all three of those areas, that we could apply at home and school immediately!
