There was excitement in the air mixed with a bit of nostalgia, as we hosted the big finish to our special End-of-Summer Carnival!

Something really cool happened – a Magic Show! It was like nothing we've seen before. The magician did tricks that seemed like real magic. All our kids were all so surprised and happy!

But this carnival was also about being together. Parents, teachers, and kids came to have fun and remember all the good times we had during summer. We talked, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. We're excited for what comes next and we'll always remember the magic we felt today.

Yesterday was an incredible day of discovery and excitement as our young adventurers had the time of their lives exploring the world of real reptiles! But these weren't just any reptile. 🐢✨

Some of the snakes present came from the historical lands of Egypt – a place where even illustrious figures like once owned the same species as a symbol of royalty! 🐍 Some have also appeared in tales of mythical characters like , adding an air of mystique! 🏛️🔍

Sandpaper letters are a valuable tool in language lessons because they offer a multisensory approach that engages touch, sight, and movement.

🫸🏾 Tactile Engagement: Children can physically touch and trace the letters with their fingers, engaging their sense of touch. This tactile input helps reinforce the shape and formation of each letter, creating a strong sensory connection.

🗣️ Letter Recognition: The distinct texture of each letter on the sandpaper helps children associate the visual symbol (letter) with its corresponding sound.

🅰️ Phonemic Awareness: By tracing the sandpaper letters, children begin to understand the relationship between letters and their associated sounds. They can focus on the sounds and learn to differentiate between similar sounds.

💁🏽‍♂️ Kinesthetic Learning: The act of tracing the letters with their fingers involves fine motor skills, enhancing hand-eye coordination and muscle memory. Fluttering with excitement, our summer camp's Botany/Nature Week took flight yesterday as we welcomed Steve 'the snake guy' a talented bird whisperer and their enchanting trpoical companions. 🦜

Each feathered guest left a lasting impression on our kids! 🤩 The highlight of the event was the one-on-one interaction our students had with these magnificent creatures, fostering a deep connection and nurturing a love for wildlife within them.
