East Bay Lady Indians Fall To Riverview Despite Strong Effort From Kamiira Austin

Kamiira Austin collected three hits in four at bats, but East Bay Lady Indians lost to Riverview 5-4 on Thursday at Riverview High School. Austin singled in the first inning, singled in the third inning, and singled in the fourth inning.
East Bay Lady Indians lost despite out-hitting Riverview 12 to 10. Austin led East Bay Lady Indians with three hits.
East Bay Lady Indians got on the board in the first inning after Jessalyn Lugo singled, scoring one run.
Carleigh Demilio lined out, which helped Riverview tie the game at one in the bottom of the second.
A single by Lihanna Borbonio gave East Bay Lady Indians the lead, 2-1, in the top of the fourth.
Riverview captured the lead, 5-4, in the bottom of the fifth after Brooklyn Girard tripled to right field, Cecilia Cartwright doubled to center field, Kara McGuire flew out, and East Bay Lady Indians committed an error, each scoring one run.
Camryn Demilio earned the win for Riverview. The hurler allowed 12 hits and four runs over seven innings, striking out nine and walking one. Karsen Nelson took the loss for East Bay Lady Indians. The starter went six innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on 10 hits, striking out six and walking two.
East Bay Lady Indians tallied 12 hits in the game. Heidy Encarnacion, Borbonio, Nelson, and Lugo each drove in one run for East Bay Lady Indians. Sophia Briel collected two hits for East Bay Lady Indians in three at bats. Austin stole four bases. East Bay Lady Indians stole four bases in the game.
Riverview accumulated 10 hits in the game. Demilio, Girard, Cartwright, and McGuire each collected two hits for Riverview. Riverview ran wild on the base paths, collecting seven stolen bases for the game. Riverview were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Demilio made the most plays with 11.
