Hair will always be about people for me.

When I first started doing hair, so many of you would ask, “What made you want to do hair?” And honestly, I never really had an answer.

I was always the girl braiding hair at church camp or on the way to volleyball games. I’d cut my own hair whenever I decided I needed my annual short hair moment. I loved creating, but I never truly imagined I’d end up where I am today.

Now, when people ask me what my favorite part of doing hair is, my answer is simple: the people.
I’ve watched both men and women sit in my chair through all kinds of seasons of life… falling in love and getting married, fighting battles like cancer, grieving the loss of someone they love, starting over, and finding themselves again. I get to hear the stories. I get to witness their growth. I get to share in the laughter and, sometimes, simply hold space for the hard days.

Hair may be what brings you to my chair, but the connection we build is what keeps me doing what I’m doing.

Because of you, I’ve learned to stop putting so much pressure on myself. To let myself be creative. To express love through the work I do for each of my clients. And most importantly, to walk into every appointment with an open heart and an open mind.

Hair is the art. People are the purpose. 🤍
