What if the most important year of learning happens before your child can even talk?

During the first year of life, babies are building the foundation for everything that comes next.

Every interaction helps shape:

🤝 Trust

At KLA, our Baby Nido environments provide gentle, responsive care while encouraging sensory exploration and discovery.

We believe even our youngest learners are capable, curious, and full of potential.

Because the journey of lifelong learning begins from the very beginning.

The skill kindergarten teachers want most might surprise you.

When parents think about kindergarten readiness, they often think about academics. But kindergarten teachers consistently tell us that success depends on much more.

Children need to be able to follow directions, work with others, solve problems, express their ideas, adapt to new situations, and learn independently.

At KLA, we help children develop both academic and life skills they need to thrive in kindergarten and beyond.

Kindergarten readiness starts with confidence.

Last week, the Princess of Wales, through her work with The Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, visited the birthplace of the Reggio Emilia approach, the educational philosophy at the heart of everything we do at KLA Schools.

Her visit is more than a diplomatic moment. It is a global acknowledgment that how we educate our children matters deeply.

The Reggio Emilia approach is rooted in a profound belief: that children are capable, curious, and full of potential from the very beginning. It centers creativity, listening, and the understanding that learning happens through relationships with peers, educators, families, and the environment itself.

As Francesco Profumo, President of Fondazione Reggio Children, put it: in an era of major technological and social transformation, starting anew with children means starting anew with the future.

At KLA, we carry this philosophy into every classroom, every atelier, every moment of wonder. Knowing that the world is watching and affirming its value only deepens our commitment.

Early childhood education isn’t just important. It’s everything. 🩵

Transformation!

KLA Schools uses emergent curriculum, where children’s interests and ideas are used to create the curriculum in the classroom. This spring our 3’s have been interested in caterpillars, butterflies, and transformations. This project asked some open ended questions:

What are we observing?
How do we show our care?
What predictions do we have?
How do we share this process with others?

We value hands on learning, and how these experiences expand our minds and learning processes.

What happens when I move this?
What do we see?
How can we make it?

Light provides a new perspective, a new canvas, and a new way of viewing the world.

At KLA Schools, light materials are used to enrich our learning, and grow our curiosity.
