CAMP REGISTRATION IS OPEN!

Are you ready to party like it’s 1776?!

Camp Registration for 4-H Camp (3rd-8th grades) at Canter's Cave is now OPEN at go.osu.edu/BHMCamp. Camp spots are LIMITED so register ASAP and set your alarms! As a reminder: Cabin sign-ups happen during THIS registration, NOT at camp. PLEASE discuss cabin assignments with friends before registering.

4-H Camp is a VERY fun experience in 4-H, we highly suggest everyone go at least once. Camp is for EVERYONE, not just 4-H members, so share the link with your friends! June 18-21

Ohio State University Extension to Host All About Poultry! 2026 Webinar Series

Ohio State University Extension is proud to announce its upcoming webinar, All About Poultry!, scheduled once a month from April through November 2026 from 7-8pm EST hosted via Zoom. This digital event is designed to provide actionable insights for commercial producers, backyard enthusiasts, and youth interested in raising poultry.

Webinar topics will include:
• April 22: Raising Layers- Join us as Extension Educators, Pressley Buurma and Jacob Winters, discuss the basics of raising layers in a backyard setting.
• May 27: Identifying Your Breeds- Join us as Extension Educators, Heather Neikirk and Sandy Trushel, identify and explain all poultry breeds including the difference between domestic and heritage.
• June 24: Raising Broilers- Join us as Extension Educators, Sandy Trushel and Catelyn Turner, discuss the basics of raising broilers in a backyard setting.
• July 22: Legality of Selling- Join us as Extension Specialists, Peggy Hall and Emily Marrison, explain the regulations of selling poultry products and how to maintain proper food safety.
• August 26: Raising Turkeys- Join us as Extension Educators, Sabrina Schirtzinger and Sarah Noggle, discuss the basics of raising turkeys in a backyard setting.
• September 16: Raising Waterfowl- Join us as Extension Educators, Sabrina Schirtzinger and Pressley Buurma, discuss the basics of raising waterfowl in a backyard setting.
• October 28: Keeping a Healthy Flock- Join us as Extension Specialists, Dr. Tim McDermott and Educator Sarah Noggle, provide updates on HPAI and explain proper biosecurity procedures
• November 18: Farm Profitability- Join us as Extension Educators, Trevor Corboy and Greg Meyer, explain how to implement enterprise budgets into your operation.
