Dylan is the kind of young man who knows exactly who he is and isn't afraid to be it. Focused. Determined. Fearlessly himself. He could care less what anyone else thinks, and I absolutely love that about him.
Behind that serious focus and drive is one of the biggest hearts in the world. He is kind, genuine, and brings so much energy wherever he goes.
Last season, Dylan followed his dreams and walked through our doors ready to work. He showed up, put in the effort, embraced every challenge, and never stopped growing. Watching him become more confident in himself and his abilities has been such a joy.
This young man was born to entertain. Whether he's on stage, in class, or making us laugh, he has a presence that draws people in and a spark that can't be taught.
Dylan, I am so proud of you for having the courage to be exactly who you are. Keep dreaming big, keep working hard, and never let anyone dim your light. We are beyond excited to welcome you to the prestigious Level V next season and can't wait to see all the adventures that lie ahead.
The best is yet to come, kiddo. 💙✨🕺🏻

Another one of the boys who joined us this season, and what a joy it has been to watch him grow! 💙
Joby is one of the sweetest, kindest young men with the biggest heart. He showed up every week ready to try, worked hard, and never gave up, no matter the challenge. His excitement and pure joy at the recital were absolutely contagious, and his smile could light up the entire theater. And Joby gives some of the very best hugs around. ❤️
We love you, Joby! Keep being your amazing self, keep shining bright, and never stop sharing that joy with the world. We're so proud of you! 🌟🕺💙

We had a record number of boys dancing with us this season. This was Brandan’s very first year of dance, and from day one he showed up ready to work. He was focused, determined, and knew his choreography every single time he stepped on stage. Watching his confidence grow throughout the season was such a joy. Brandan, never let others tell you what you can't do. Show them what you can. Keep being you, we're all better for it.

Last weekend, I had the incredible honor of presenting our 2026 Dancer of the Year award to Nia.
As her studio owner, I can confidently say this honor was earned through years of hard work, dedication, leadership, and heart. Nia dances in or assists with every class we offer, knows the choreography to every routine in the show, and invests so much of herself into helping our younger dancers grow. She has earned the respect of her teachers, her peers, and every student who has had the privilege of learning from her.
For years, she watched her fellow dancers and friends be recognized and receive awards, and she celebrated every one of them with genuine happiness. When she was little, I sat her down and explained that she likely wouldn't receive awards because I never wanted there to be even the appearance of favoritism. It wasn't always fair, but she accepted it with a maturity far beyond her years.
But as her mom, this moment meant something even more. For years, I worried that she didn't get the same experience as so many of our dancers. While other dance moms got to sit and focus on their child, I was always dividing my attention among 100+ dancers, families, teachers, costumes, schedules, and everything else that comes with running a studio. Nia spent her entire childhood sharing me with everyone else who needed me.
She never complained.
She understood when I had to help another dancer. She waited patiently when someone else needed my attention. She gave me grace when I couldn't always be "just Mom" at the studio. There were times I wondered if she felt overlooked or if she sacrificed more than anyone realized simply because she was my daughter.
Over the years, I realized that not only did she handle those challenges with maturity and grace, but she turned them into something beautiful. She became the kind of leader who makes everyone around her better.
For a long time, I never imagined I would give this award to my own daughter—not because she wasn't deserving, but because I never wanted there to be any question about how it was earned.
Today, there is no question.
Nia, everything you have achieved has been earned through your character, your work ethic, and your love for dance and for others. Presenting you with this honor was one of the proudest moments of my life.
Congratulations, 2026 Dancer of the Year. ❤️

My girls. ❤️
I love when I get the chance to dance with them, although those opportunities seem to happen less and less the older I get. It’s a lot easier to keep things under control from the wings when I’m not out there wondering if I remembered the choreography or where I left my reading glasses.
Every now and then, though, I get to dance with the V’s. I spend most of the routine trying to keep up, pretending my knees don’t make weird noises, and hoping I remember the choreography.
But I wouldn’t trade those moments for anything. These girls keep me young, or at least keep me trying. ❤️

A double bungee class tonight and the shenanigans were in full force. 😂
These Adams County ladies brought the energy and the laughter. There was plenty of bouncing, a few questionable flight paths, and enough laughs to count as extra cardio.
Thank you for spending your evening bouncing with us. We had a blast! 💜

Spotted in its natural habitat: the rare and elusive Albino Recital Lemur.
Sightings of this majestic creature are extremely rare, but during recital season, they emerge briefly from hiding before disappearing back into the wild for another year.
Thank you, Dance Grandpa, for fully embracing the chaos. 🦝🤍😂

⚔️ HEAR ME, RECITAL FAMILIES! ⚔️
Behold: The mighty Dance Dad Gladiator.
Forged in the backstage chaos. Hardened by quick changes. Strengthened by carrying garment bags, chariots,
and enough dance accessories to supply a small kingdom.
He has survived recital week.
He has battled glitter.
He has conquered hairspray.
He has stood bravely in the lobby for hours while asking, "What number are we on now?"
A true warrior.
A legend.
A man who never expected to find himself dressed like this when he became a parent.
When recital season calls, ordinary dads become gladiators.
ARE YOU NOT ENTERTAINED?!
