We had a special visitor from the Harlem Wizards today. His name is Robert "Smooth" Young. He's in his 14th year with the Wizards so he knows a lot about basketball and entertainment.

Check out the new trick involving one of our students!

We Remember. We Honor.

This week's episode of Hawk Talk focuses on a tradition that holds special meaning for the Hillsboro R-3 School District and our community. Our guest is Mr. Scott Readnour. Honoring America's prisoners of war and those who remain missing in action is what Friday, September 18th is all about.

As we prepare to observe National POW/MIA Recognition Day, we invite you to watch this special episode of Hawk Talk and learn more about why remembrance remains so important in Hillsboro.

Then, on Friday, Sept. 18th, students, staff and members of our community will once again stand vigil at the POW/MIA Memorial in front of Hillsboro Intermediate School.

🕯️ POW/MIA Vigil
📅 Friday, Sept. 18th
⏰ 6 a.m. – Midnight
📍 Hillsboro Intermediate School

Throughout those 18 hours, members of our school community will stand watch in honor of the men and women who were held as prisoners of war, those who never returned home, and the families who continue to carry their memory.
