Now is a good time to remind you that tomorrow, Wednesday, August 26th will be our first "Late Start Wednesday" of the year.
This means K-12 school start times are pushed back an hour later than the rest of the week.

(Tuesday - August 25)- Day 2 of the 2026–2027 school year is in the books!

All buses were dismissed from Hillsboro Primary School at 4:08 p.m. Thank you again for your patience as we settle into our school-year routines.

Reminder: Late Start Wednesdays begin tomorrow. Buses will pick up students one hour later than their regular morning pickup time.

And just like that... we're back!

The first day of the 2026-2027 school year is officially in the books at Hillsboro R-3!

From our High School students walking the halls to some of our youngest Hawks beginning their adventure at the Hillsboro R- 3 Primary School and Hillsboro Early Childhood Center, today was filled with happy reunions, new classrooms, familiar faces and plenty of first-day excitement.

🦷 DENTAL CARE... WITHOUT AN EXTRA TRIP TO THE DENTIST!

We know family schedules are busy. That’s why we’re excited to partner with Compass Health Network to bring its Mobile Dental Program to Hillsboro R-3 schools this September.

Interested families can sign up for their child to receive dental services right at school, including:
