The Dread Keep

The Dread Keep Closed permanently. The Dread Keep was a family run haunt display. Our last trick or treat season was 2024. The display was up through most of October.

The Dread Keep was a family friendly haunt & display located down the street from Jackson Elementary School. The Dread Keep handed out candy to 1000 children and families on OCT 31st. It is now closed.

Greeting ghoulies, I wanted to jump on and say how wonderful it was to be a part of the haunt community in Hillsboro. My father and I bonded very much over Halloween. And even after I moved to Colorado, he kept up the display and trick or treat spot. He did this even after it became difficult for him to do so. Unfortunately this year, the house will be silent for Halloween. We will have a tribute for him made here in Colorado. But it pains me to know his home will be dark on Oct. 31st. I wanted to thank everyone who helped make Halloween and the Dread Keep a special thing. I will hopefully have a link to our Colorado display page and a Dread Keep alumni's PDX garden haunt soon. Thank you & Happy Hauntings!!
