Last week we started practicing giving different types of injections, drawing blood and this week animal health exams, nothing like diving into the school year quick! While it looks a little odd it takes some practice to get used to angles, and doing multiple things at one; so the bananas and furniture came in handy.

Back to school means hearing about all the summer adventures! FFA officer Linley spent the summer doing what she loves!
Her summer was full of horses, hard work, and new experiences! She stayed busy giving riding lessons, riding client horses, and horse-sitting. Somehow she found time to compete in barrel racing with PopTart and showing her horse Dun in Ranch Rail and English classes at local horse shows.
Even though it was a busy she loved every minute of it; gaining a lot of experience and learning something new from every horse she worked with!

The farm was a little different today. Yesterday we celebrated an incredible student, FFA member and a worker at the farm. Much like all the other fantastic seniors she is off to new opportunities and adventures. Best of luck to Briley and all our other alumni starting jobs, training programs and school! It won’t be the same without you!

Aubrey spent part of her summer prepping her market lamb Denver! It was her first project lamb and she did great, even walked away with a buckle for Rate of Gain!

School is around the corner and we have been busy at the farm preparing for our high schoolers to come back and this year our first 8th grade classes! Our FFA officers and members have also stayed busy learning. Olivia spent the summer working with and riding horses as well as showing off her Market Lamb Ace!
