We had an amazing first week as our halls were filled with families walking their student(s) to class each morning.
Beginning Monday, students who do not ride a bus will begin their carline routine. If you would like to walk your student to the cafeteria door, you may do so between 7:00-7:25am. Please wait to cross the parking lot until a staff member has stopped traffic. After 7:25am, all students must be dropped off using the carline for the safety of everyone.
Helpful tips for the carline:
If you happen to be first in line for the morning, please do not block the service entrance. We will motion you forward at 7:00am to begin dropping off.
As you enter the gate, please have your student gather everything they need to take to school. Encourage them for the day, say your goodbye for the day, and have them ready to get out when you arrive in the circle. This helps the flow of traffic.
Students must exit the car on the right side for their safety and the safety of our staff. All parents/guardians, must stay in the vehicle for their safety as well.
At 7:40am, the first bell rings. This means if you are inside the gate in the carline, your student will not be marked tardy as this gives you plenty of time to drop off.
Please follow the carline all the way around and do not cut through the service entrance or staff parking lot.
We will have plenty of extra people to help our students find their way to class.
During the next couple of weeks, the line might be a little slower than usual as families adjust to this routine. It will get faster with time.
