Before you head our way, here are a few important reminders to help make our first morning safe, smooth, and successful! 👇

⏰ FIRST BELL: 8:50 AM
🚗 Campus Arrival: Students may arrive NO EARLIER than 8:30 AM.

📋 WHERE ARE MY SCHEDULES?
🔴 Middle School: Schedules are posted in the cafeteria.
⚡ High School: Schedules are posted outside the gym.

🚨 STUDENT DROP-OFF PROCEDURES 🚨

To keep traffic moving safely and efficiently:

➡️ ALL parents and guardians must drop students off in the designated drop-off circle located at the gym.

Please remember:

🚗 Student Parking Lot: This area is reserved for student drivers only. Parents should NOT use the student parking lot for morning drop-off.

🚌 Back Bus Loop: Parents may NOT drop students off at the back bus loop gate. This area is designated for school buses only, and parent vehicles create traffic and safety concerns during morning arrival.

It’s really starting to look like home! ❤️🤍

The iconic Flashes “H” is now proudly displayed on the field, and WOW—it looks incredible against the bright green turf and crisp white markings! The transformation is truly something special, and we can’t wait to see the finished product come together.

A HUGE thank you to the Nassau County One Mill for making this incredible project possible. Your investment in our students, athletes, and community is creating a field that our Flashes can be proud to call home for years to come!

❤️⚡️⚽️Girls Soccer Information from Mr. West⚽️⚡️❤️

I know everyone is asking for money right now. I get it. I know people are being pulled in a hundred different directions, and I also know there are a lot of good causes out there. But I’m asking you to hear me out. This isn’t for me. It’s for the young women I coach. They aren’t my blood, but I would fight like crazy for them. I would stand beside them, protect them, challenge them, and do everything I can to help them become the best versions of themselves.

We need sponsors. We need people who believe in what we’re building. People who believe in these young women. People willing to invest in something bigger than a scoreboard. Scoreboards fade but a legacy lasts forever.

So I’m asking you: Believe in me. Believe in these young women. Believe in what we’re building. If you can't sponsor us, share this post, connect us with someone who might, or simply help spread the word, it would mean more than you know.

These girls will wear the jersey. They will represent our school. And they will carry our community with them every time they step on the field. And I guarantee you I will hold them to a standard of excellence. They are great young women and we will prepare them to be better.

Let’s give them something worth believing in. Her number. Her story. Our legacy.

💻❤️⚡ HMSHS Device Distribution – Friday, August 7, 2026 ⚡❤️💻

We’re excited to welcome our Flashes back to campus! Below is everything you need to know about device distribution.

📍 6th Grade & New Student Orientation
🕘 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

This orientation is for:
• All incoming 6th grade students
• Any student new to HMSHS (grades 6–12)

Students will receive all required paperwork during orientation, tour the campus, and then report to the Media Center at the end of the tour to pick up their school-issued device.

📍 Returning Student Device Pickup
🕚 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM

The Media Center will be open for all returning students who would like to pick up their device before the first day of school.

✅ This early pickup is optional and is offered as a convenience. If you are unable to attend, don't worry! Students will receive their devices during the first week of school once all required paperwork has been completed.

📋 Required Forms
Before a device can be issued, both of the following forms must be completed and signed by the parent/guardian and the student:
• Student/Parent Laptop Agreement
• Student Acceptable Use of Technology Agreement

❗Devices cannot be distributed without both completed forms.

❤️⚡ EPIC. ALL IN. ALL SEASON. ⚡❤️

This weekend was a powerful reminder that being a Flash is about so much more than competing. It’s about serving others, investing in each other, and taking pride in our school and community.

🏐 On Friday night, our Lady Flashes Volleyball team and coaches enjoyed a team sleepover in the gym, building relationships and making memories. Then, bright and early Saturday morning, they were on campus volunteering at the Campus Cleanup Day.

⚽ Our Lady Flashes Soccer team and coaches also spent Saturday morning serving at the cleanup before celebrating the end of summer conditioning with a well-earned team pool party.

🏀 Our boys and girls basketball teams, along with their coaches, rolled up their sleeves to help beautify our campus before hosting an exciting Alumni Basketball Game Saturday evening—bringing together former and current Flashes and continuing to strengthen the tradition of our program.

🏈 Meanwhile, our football team and coaches worked tirelessly at Paul Whittenburg Field as the finishing touches were being put on our incredible new turf. From pulling w**ds and w**d eating to clearing debris and making the entire facility shine, they showed what it means to take ownership and pride in the place they call home.

This is the culture we’re building at HMSHS.

It’s coaches who pour countless hours into mentoring young people beyond the game. It’s student-athletes who understand that leadership starts with service. It’s teammates who choose to work together—not because they have to, but because they care about each other and their school.

That’s what it means to be a Flash. ❤️⚡

Before the first bell rings, before classrooms fill with students, and before another incredible school year begins… it takes this. ❤️⚡

It takes a village.

Today, students, faculty, staff, parents, alumni, and community members came together for our HMSHS Campus Cleanup Day, giving their time and talents to help prepare our campus for an EPIC year ahead.

While our amazing maintenance and custodial teams work year-round to keep HMSHS looking its best, days like today remind us that being a Flash is about more than attending school—it’s about serving, giving back, and taking pride in the place we call home.

Today was filled with teamwork as volunteers pulled w**ds, hauled away debris, w**d-eated, blew off sidewalks, pressure washed, and tackled countless other projects across campus. And after a morning of hard work, everyone enjoyed a delicious lunch generously provided and prepared by River Road Baptist Church. Thank you for blessing our volunteers with such incredible generosity.

To everyone who gave their time, energy, and heart today—thank you. Your efforts have made a difference, and our campus is better because of you.

This is what EPIC. ALL IN. ALL SEASON. looks like.

We can’t wait to welcome our Flashes back to a campus that’s been prepared with care by an incredible community.
