Tomorrow is our final concert of the year! Join us Thursday, May 14th, at 7PM in the Davidson Performing Arts Center for our Pops Concert! Hear our concert choirs, a ca****la groups, and soloists perform pop music from the past decade. We hope to see you there!

Congratulations to all three Davidson Choirs who competed in OMEA State Contest last Friday! Each of the ensembles earned straight superior ratings from all four judges 💙🤍

Pictured below is the Tenor/Bass Ensemble (Class C), Symphonic Choir (Class B ) and Senior Choir (Class AA). The students worked so hard to prepare for this event, and they received glowing feedback from each of the judges.

This marks the fourth consecutive year of superior ratings at State Contest since the Davidson Choirs began participating in the event. Well done, singers! 🎉🎶

Our final day in NYC was a blast! We started the day off with a dance workshop led by Thayne Jasperson where we learned choreography to parts of “The Room Where It Happened” and “My Shot.” Thayne even gave us a private concert at the end!

Afterwards, we went on a walk to City Hall and the Brooklyn Bridge to soak in some more sights- the weather was perfect! We continued our way through Manhattan to the Freedom Tower and 9/11 Memorial. Students had time to explore this area and do some shopping at the Oculus.

We rounded off our day by boarding a cruise where students enjoyed dinner, dancing, and taking in some final city sights. We’re all safe and home now, and we’re so grateful for this amazing experience we all shared together!! 🍎🌃🗽

Day two in NYC! We had a packed schedule which started with a walk through Central Park 🌳 before taking in some amazing views of the city at Summit ONE Vanderbilt. We had lunch at the iconic Grand Central Station 🚂 where we also gave some bystanders an impromptu performance! After lunch, we headed to St. John the Devine where we enjoyed making music in their stunning sanctuary. We capped the night off with dinner at Angelo’s Pizza Broadway 🍕 and seeing Hamilton! 🎭

Our first day in NYC!

Today, we arrived in the city and immediately performed at St. Patrick’s Cathedral. From there, we split off for lunch around Times Square before heading to the Museum of Broadway where we saw some incredible exhibits! This evening, we had a group dinner at Virgil’s BBQ before seeing a mind-blowing production of The Outsiders!

Today was a whirlwind, and tomorrow has even more surprises in store! 🗽🍎

Yesterday, the Davidson Choirs made a pit stop at Penn State University on our way to NYC! The students participated in a choral clinic at the School of Music with Dr. Kiver, enjoyed some ice cream at the Berkey Creamery, and had dinner at the Po***ck Commons on campus.

This morning, we made an early departure from Allentown, PA and are on our way to sing at the historic St. Patrick’s Cathedral. You can live stream our singing this morning from the link below.

Congratulations to the Davidson Senior Choir, Tenor/Bass Ensemble, and Soprano/Alto Ensemble on their performances at OMEA District Contest this morning! Each ensemble earned a Superior (I) rating, qualifying them to compete at State Contest this April. The students sang with true commitment and artistry, and we are incredibly grateful for their willingness to share their time and talents.

Thank you to our incredible students, dedicated parents, chaperones, and supportive administrators for making today possible! State bound!

Join us tomorrow evening in the Davidson PAC at 7PM for our annual Midwinter Choir Concert! You’ll hear from our two a ca****la groups, Blue Kids on the Block and Out of the Blue, our three OMEA Contest Ensembles, and special guests from Weaver Middle School. No tickets required.
