Last month we had the pleasure of attending The Covering’s annual fundraising banquet.

We love pouring into the women in the program and supporting the ministry any way we can. They are doing a great work for the Kingdom!

✨ Face to Face – The Beginning ✨

We want to share something that has been on our hearts for a long time. 🙏🏽

We are in the process of launching a nonprofit called Face to Face—From The Inside Out - focused on supporting women who are incarcerated.

Our mission is to come alongside women inside through mentoring, Bible studies, and practical, real-life guidance in a cohort setting—helping them build a foundation that leads to stability and targets reducing recidivism by giving them a head start - before their release day.

Right now, we are raising funds to cover the startup costs to officially register and be legally established.

Our goal is to raise $1,500 to cover:• Ohio incorporation filing• IRS 501(c)(3) application• Basic startup needs (materials, outreach, and program prep)

At this stage, donations are not yet tax-deductible as we are not officially approved, but every dollar will be visible publicly & go directly toward launching this work.

In March - we opened a store in Grove City, Ohio : The Styled Nest! We are a fully established business with Ohio & the IRS. This store is the other half of our Dream - to become a second chance employer! We will hire individuals coming through Face to Face - teaching them entrepreneurial skills and helping them start their own businesses.

We believe that God has given us this dream & the He is guiding us as we do what we can!

We are headed to jail! 👣❤️

Will you pray for us and the ladies we will be ministering to? It’s one of our favorite things to do - the ladies are always hungry for the Word and open to the Lord.

Some call it jail house religion - we call it feeding His 🐑 sheep! ❤️🙏🏽🙌🏽

The foundation to Face to Face Ministries is Jesus and His Word.

Founders Michelle Renée and Misty Lee Johnson dedicate time monthly to lead discussions with ladies in the Franklin County Jail.

Utilizing the program : Stepping Into Freedom, the discussions lead the ladies to consider the impact of decisions, the challenges they face upon release and how to avoid re-entry. All through the instruction of God’s Word.

Each visit, the evidence of the Holy Spirit and His pursuit of each woman is amazing…and obvious! Last night was no different!

As we considered the book of Joshua, alongside the chapter for this week - Michelle shared the testimony of Rahab - & how God used a woman with a past - in a mighty way - all by making a decision to follow the Lord and leave life as she had known it up to that point.

As a result - her family was saved from destruction - and HER NAME is listed in the lineage of Christ!!

The women were on the edge of their seats as the drama of the Scriptures unfolded - you could feel the anticipation as each woman read a portion.

We believe they could see themselves in the story - that EACH OF US is Rahab and the gospel is for EVERYONE!

The team goes in each Monday to sit with these women - and the plan is to do so much more - will you pray as we pray to have a bigger impact and to help these women break the cycle of recidivism?

Our heart is to meet them where they are - & help them from the inside - out!

We have so much more to share - stay tuned!!!!

Yesterday we celebrated Co-Founder, Michelle Renée’s birthday!!

If there is one verse to describe Michelle we would choose:

She is clothed in strength and dignity and she laughs without fear of the future! 🙌🏽

Michelle Renée and Misty Lee Johnson co- lead Face to Face Ministries. This week was the first Chapel of 2026 with The Covering ladies, and it was so refreshing!

The focus is Joshua and going through that book around the table. Chapter by chapter. Verse by verse. 📖 🙏🏽

The conversation was sweet, with deep revelation shared by each individual. Together, this made for a rich time together with The Lord and His Word! ⚔️❤️🙌🏽

Each woman cut her own piece of scarlet ribbon, to use as a book mark and a reminder, that as you trust in Jesus, though the world as you know it may crumble all around you, He has a scarlet cord through all of Scripture, full of HOPE for you to cling to! 🙌🏽😭

Tonight was beautiful! Michelle Renée and I got to visit the ladies at The Jak - in C2. ❤️

Your donations have been rolling in & we brought Bibles, journals, Bible Tabs and highlighters with us. They were SO appreciative!!

Women who weren’t in our class stopped by just to ask if they could have a Bible and a journal….of course we said yes. I wish you could have seen their faces. It never gets old!! Your giving is going a long way & making a difference !

We discussed the birth of Jesus from the perspective Mary. How Mary faced challenges and her circumstances were hard, even though she carried our precious Savior.

We discussed what challenges these
ladies will face when they leave the jail. How can we make a solid plan to keep Jesus at the center, especially when hard times come.

Hearing their hearts, their desire to reconnect to their families and their prayers for the future is humbling. Will you pray with us that God order their steps now, while they are on the inside, to truly step into His freedom when they are on the outside? 🙏🏽❤️
