Welcome Coach Dylan Horsley to the Water Canyon Wildcats Football Family!

Water Canyon High School Football is proud to officially welcome Coach Dylan Horsley back to Coach Horsley's staff as our Quarterbacks Coach and Offensive Assistant, where he will also help with offensive play calling.

Coach Horsley has been part of Water Canyon Football since day one. As the starting quarterback during the program's inaugural season, he helped lay the foundation for what Wildcat Football is becoming today. During his standout high school career, Dylan earned First Team All-State honors at quarterback, establishing himself as one of the premier signal callers in the state.

Following his high school career, Dylan continued competing at the collegiate level, playing two seasons of college football in northern Utah while continuing to grow his understanding of the quarterback position and the game itself. During that time, he also returned to Water Canyon to help coach our quarterbacks, investing in the next generation of Wildcats.

Off the field, Dylan is one of the top-performing sales professionals at Evolution Drafting. He and his lovely wife, Korter, are also preparing for one of life's greatest blessings as they eagerly await the arrival of their first child this October.

"Water Canyon has always been home to me," Coach Horsley said. "I'm excited to be back working with our quarterbacks, helping call the offense, and continuing to build something special. Go Wildcats!"

As a former Wildcat, collegiate quarterback, and now coach, Dylan brings a unique perspective to our staff. His experience under center, passion for teaching the game, and understanding of our offensive system make him an invaluable asset as we continue building the future of Water Canyon Football.

Welcome Coach Cole White to the Water Canyon Wildcats Football Family!

Water Canyon High School Football is excited to announce the addition of Coach Cole White to Coach Horsley's staff as our new Wide Receivers Coach, Defensive Backs Coach, and Special Teams Coordinator.

Born and raised in Colorado City, Coach White is a proud husband, father of four, and someone whose passion for football runs deep.

"I think football is the greatest sport in the world," Coach White says.

Although he never had the opportunity to play organized sports growing up, that experience has become one of the driving forces behind his coaching philosophy.

"I know how much it could have helped me through my teenage years with the struggles of life. My goal is to help provide our youth with opportunities I didn't have growing up."

Coach White began his coaching career at El Capitan in 2022 as an assistant coach. It didn't take long for him to discover a passion for mentoring young athletes. After serving two seasons as an assistant, he stepped into the Head Coach role for one season, continuing to invest in the development of student-athletes on and off the field.

Now, Coach White is bringing that same energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to Water Canyon.

"I'm very excited to coach at Water Canyon and join this program. I look forward to helping build something great!"

Coach White's heart for young people, love of the game, and desire to make a lasting impact make him an outstanding addition to the Wildcat family.

Welcome Coach Mitch Jessop to the Water Canyon Wildcats Football Family!

Water Canyon High School Football is proud to announce the addition of Coach Mitch Jessop as our new Defensive Coordinator.

Coach Jessop brings nearly a decade of coaching experience, a proven track record of building successful programs, and a passion for developing young men both on and off the football field.

Raised in Hildale, Utah, Coach Jessop grew up with a love for competition. "If people had a group together at the park, I would be there," he says. "I loved football the second I started playing it as a kid." That passion eventually turned into a coaching career that has already left a lasting impact on football in our community.

After beginning his coaching career at El Capitan in 2017, Coach Jessop became the program's Head Coach in 2020. During the challenges of the COVID season, he guided El Capitan to its first winning season in school history. He followed that achievement in 2021 by leading the program to its first-ever playoff appearance and first playoff victory.

Away from the field, Coach Jessop is a proud father of two incredible children and stepfather to five more. Family has always been at the center of who he is, and that same commitment carries over into the relationships he builds with his players.

For the past three years, Coach Jessop has also played a major role in helping build the Short Creek Heroes youth football program into one of the most successful organizations in the league. His commitment to growing the game and investing in young athletes has already made a tremendous impact throughout our community.

We are excited to add Coach Jessop to Coach Horsley's staff as we continue building the culture we are creating here at Water Canyon.
