Hildale Library's Books n' Bites book club will be reading the nonfiction title Empire of the Summer Moon by S.C. Gwynne in October. Learn more about the role of the Comanche in the American West and the iconic story of Cynthia Ann Parker and Quanah Parker in this finalist for the Pulitzer Prize. Copies are available for checkout at the library. The book club will meet October 22 from 5 pm to 6 pm to discuss.

The Crochet Basics class continues on October 13 from 3 pm to 4 pm. We will review the single chain stitch and learn the half-double and double crochet stitches. This is a free class and beginners are welcome. If you missed the first session, please join us anyway and we will catch you up. This class is best suited for adults and young people ages 10+. Toys and coloring pages will be available for younger children.

Kids are invited to join us at the next session of the library's LEGO Club on Monday, October 5 from 5 pm to 6 pm. This is a free program and no registration is required. We provide the LEGOS, the kids provide the imagination and we all have a blast making amazing LEGO builds.

In October, Anime Club will be watching episodes 5 - 8 of volume 1 of Hunter x Hunter. Join us on the first Wednesday of the month, October 7, from 4:45 pm to 6:45 pm and enjoy anime with other fans. This is a free activity open to ages 13 and older.

October's teen art class sessions will happen on Thursday, October 1st and Thursday, October 8th from 5 pm to 6 pm. Teens are invited to join us for this free class and learn to draw anime.
