We❤️Griffin's Tales! Every year, the 112 Education Foundation funds this Northwestern University theater troupe's visits to district elementary schools. The troupe performed skits, songs, and raps using stories submitted by the students at each of the schools. It's always a hit!

Who doesn't love a night at the opera? As part of a , Braeside 3rd, 4th and 5th-graders recently studied famous operas and learned from professionals about the arts of costume design and wig-making. The project culminated in a live performance by Grammy-winning opera singer (and Braeside dad!), Edward Parks.
A huge shout-out to Braeside music and art teacher Kathryn Polyack for her clever vision and planning to make this opportunity happen. We are so proud to fund it!

Yesterday we hosted the annual Reel 112 Film Festival in the auditorium at Edgewood Middle School. The festival featured films made by elementary and middle school filmmakers from schools across District 112. It was a fabulous opportunity to showcase their creativity and storytelling! Congratulations to all of the filmmakers!

On Friday, North Shore School District 112 3rd graders were treated to an incredible performance as part of Ravinia Festival's Guest Artists in the Classroom program.
Kimberly Jones, Cornelius Johnson, and Paul Dykstra presented their "Lift Every Voice and Sing" program to enthusiastic and engaged audiences at Wayne Thomas and Indian Trail.
We thank Ravinia Festival for piloting this program in North Shore School District 112 this year. Our students and their music teachers loved every minute!
