💙🚓 Community kindness in action! 🚓💙
Our Kindness Starts Here project, Hydrate the Heroes of Highlands, came full circle as some of our students had the chance to personally deliver the donated water bottles to the Highlands Police Department!
The officers welcomed our Ospreys with open arms, gave them a tour of the newest police car, and even let them try on a police helmet and protective vest! It was a memorable experience and a wonderful reminder of the strong connection between our school and the people who help keep our community safe.
A huge thank you to everyone who donated and to the Highlands Police Department for making our students feel so special. 💙👮‍♀️👮‍♂️

What a perfect way to wrap up an incredible year at HES!!!

The Highlands Elementary School PTO was absolutely thrilled to surprise our amazing students with a cool, icy treat to celebrate the end of the school year! As you can see the smiles say it all.

A massive SHOUT-OUT to Scooper Stars for serving up the delicious treats and bringing the best energy to our campus! 🍦

🎨 A special shout-out to Ashley Leder for making that beautiful, custom "Thank You for Being Kind" sign displayed on the truck—it added the perfect touch to the celebration!

As the 2025–2026 school year comes to a close, the HES PTO wants to send a heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire HES community. From our incredible families and dedicated staff to our amazing volunteers, every single event we held this year was a success because of your time, contributions, and endless support.

We are so proud of everything we accomplished together this year. Have a wonderful, safe, and relaxing summer, HES! 💙🦅💛

A massive round of applause and congratulations to our official Penny War Winners for this school year!

🎉 Mr. Perkins’ 6th Grade Class — Crowned the winners for bringing in the Most Total Points!
🎉 Mrs. Culp’s 2nd Grade Class — Crowned the winners for strategically scoring the Most Total Money!

Both classrooms have earned themselves the ultimate prize: an Ice Cream Party! 🍦✨

A huge thank you to all of our incredible Pre-K through 6th-grade students, families, and staff who participated from October through May. Because of your spare change and friendly competition, this was a massive success, with all proceeds directly benefiting the Highlands Elementary PTO.

From our littlest Pre-K and Kindergarten stars to our moving-up 6th graders, we are so incredibly proud of you! It’s been a beautiful whirlwind of emotions for parents, teachers, staff and students alike. 🥹❤️ 🎓

The HES PTO was honored to pour so much love, time and hard work into decorating and making these milestone days extra special for the kids. Big thank you to the volunteers that took time out of their days to help! We couldn’t do it without you!

Huge congratulations and welcome to Mr. Pritchard and Mr. Lynch! It is bittersweet to say "see you later" to Dr. J, but we are thrilled for his next chapter. Beginning next school year, Dr. Jacoutot will serve as the district’s Director of Curriculum & Instruction. We wish him absolutely all the best in his new role!

Hey HES families! Graduation season is here, and we need a little extra help to make these milestones extra special for our students. If you have some time to lend a hand, we would love to have you!

Kindergarten Graduation:Thursday, June 11
6th Grade Graduation: Friday, June 12

📝 A Few Quick Notes:
Flexible Shifts:** Time slots are listed in 1-hour increments, but if you can only cover part of a shift, that’s totally fine! Just sign up and send us a message.
Estimated Times:** Wrap-up times are estimates based on the ceremony lengths. We might finish up early!

P.S.This year is our very first time offering **concessions** at graduation! We’ll have refreshments, light snacks, and some fun graduation-themed items available for purchase. We are so excited to see how it goes!

🎨 Field Day Creativity was off the charts! 🎨

We had the absolute best time watching the kids shine at this year's HES Field Day! The PTO was thrilled to provide blank t-shirts and fabric markers for all of our students this year, and seeing them design and decorate their own shirts was a major highlight. From custom drawings to bright abstract designs, their creativity really took over the field!

We were also so happy to provide volunteer t-shirts for new volunteers that signed up to assist with the day’s activities. Seeing our amazing community of helpers out there in matching gear made the day extra special.
