Donna's Piano Lessons

Donna's Piano Lessons Beginning to Advanced Level Study of Piano My objective in teaching piano is first and foremost to instill in the student an appreciation and love of music.

In doing so, I strive to meet the following goals:

* Teach the student to read music and understand the importance of a steady beat and proper timing
* Teach the student good posture and hand position while stressing the importance of clean, curved fingers at the piano
* Help the student become a good listener and learn the importance of proper phrasing, dynamics and expression when playing the piano

The method of teaching piano that I use is Piano Adventures by Faber and Faber. I ask that you purchase 5 books for your child's success. These are a Lesson Book, a Theory Book, a Technique and Artistry Book, a Performance Book and an Assignment Book.
