🎸🎼Hey folks! So it’s that time again! Just before Christmas/New Year break, I am honored to announce the 2025 Most Improved Students of the Year Certificates! (Plus a new category)😃
This was a tough one because so many students did incredibly well this year. And as in past times, we’ve divided winners into age groups.
First off, we have the “Kid’s Group” (7-12)
A big congrats to Sam! (The man with the plan)😎
Sam and I have been working together the past handful of years. He has done over the top awesome this year! I am so proud of him and all of the hard work he’s put in with practicing, lessons and staying diligent. Thank you Sam!
Next up we have the “Teen Group.” (13-17). In all honesty, this one was tough because I actually had several students I wanted to pull into the group for this year - and we scaled it down to the top 3.
A huge congrats to… Chase, Diya & Jagger!
All three of these young folks have put in the time, hard work and commitment to consistently following through. They each made awesome progress and I am beyond happy to be their guitar teacher and exceptionally proud of all 3 of them! Thank you guys and gal!
In the “Adult Group” for this year, we have the one and only… Jason! Jason is actually my Guitar Tech’s son who has been working with me (I’m gonna say for 6+ years now). He’s currently in college up in Boulder, so we do the majority of our lessons remote. All I can say about this dude is he has come a VERY, VERY long way in his guitar playing. He started out as a teen and was a typical beginner student. But over the past couple years he has excelled well beyond expected. Thank you Jason! You rock Bro!
And finally, I decided I was gonna do something this year I’ve never done before, and that was to introduce a brand new category.
I picked up a student close to a year and a half ago who was excited and determined to start learning guitar in his 50s. His commitment and dedication to the craft has been something I have rarely seen over the years that I have been a guitar coach.
He takes his lessons VERY seriously and practices on average of an hour or more per day (7 Days a Week!) In fact, over the past year he has missed only 7 days of practicing on his own - and has not missed one single guitar session with me.
He’s invested into professional gear, multiple guitars, amplifiers, and pedalboards.
Seeing a student so committed and putting their heart into the craft at this level, I was inspired to create a brand new category.
So a big congratulations to Scott, for Most Dedicated Student of 2025!
He’s well on his way - and I believe in the next few years he’ll be playing like a pro!
There’s one more certificate I’d love to give out here soon. It may not be until after the new year. But it’ll be for a student very close to my heart. I’ll keep you folks posted on that when it happens.😉
Thanks again for all the support, the loyalty and in trusting me to teach you guys & gals how to play guitar & bass the best I know how.
Y’all have a wonderful Christmas and New Year. See you all soon!
